Benyamin Nuss

Pianist and composer

With his elegant and emotionally touching playing, he is successful as a soloist worldwide. His friendly and reserved character also has a winning effect outside the concert stage and allows his fan community to grow steadily.

Growing up in a family of musicians, he intensively studied Debussy and Ravel at an early age and through them found his way to Rachmaninoff, Liszt and Chopin. Benyamin Nuss studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Prof. Ilja Scheps, won national competitions as well as the international piano competition for young pianists "Prix d'AmadéO de Piano" and was sponsored by renowned foundations.

His career received a decisive impulse with the concert "Symphonic Fantasies" on 12 September 2009 in the Cologne Philharmonie alongside the WDR Radio House Orchestra. Performances on television and radio follow.

Universal Music signs Benyamin Nuss exclusively. With solo recordings for Deutsche Grammophon and Decca, he climbs the classical charts.
Again and again he makes his mark as an interpreter in the expansion of serious music. The CD "Mia Brentano's River of Memories" (Mons), which is successful especially in the USA, is awarded the German Record Critics' Prize in 2019. The album "Debut" with Konstantin Reinfeld wins the Opus Klassik in the same year.

As a soloist he works with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Stockholm Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Osaka Symphony, the Utah Symphony, the Seattle Symphony, the WDR Radio House Orchestra, the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, the Singapore Symphony, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Benyamin Nuss plays on the world tour concerts of "Distant Worlds" and "Kingdom Hearts", where he inspires a new and young audience for classical music.

He receives invitations to international festivals such as Davos Festival, Biarritz Piano Festival, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, Audi Sommerkonzerte, MozArte Festival, AIX PIANO, Lange Nacht der Musik BR Munich, Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg, Beethoven Bonnensis Festival, Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival Frankfurt, Shanghai (2017) and Paris (2019), Anime Central Chicago 2014 + 2018.
